Homestead Services provides consulting, design and implementation for many facets of your homestead or building projects. Our areas of interest are in sustainable building and remodeling, as well as your family’s connection to the environment. We believe that your home or homestead should be designed with simple and economical components that take advantage of the local conditions. When we talk about sustainability, it means that we try to blend the technology available today with respect and consideration for the future.

My intention for this blog is to offer an ongoing record of projects and thoughts as time goes by. As a dear friend of mine who is involved with the Pachamama group has often said, one of the challenges for our future is how we as humans can be environmentally sustainable, socially just, and spiritually fulfilled.

In my own small way, I hope some of the information posted here will make a difference. Teaching, sharing and learning is all part of the journey.
